Seam does not inject EntityManager?

I had problems with injecting an EntityManager instance in a Seam components. So I am listing here the things you need to check to get this working
1. Have the persistence.xml under the META-INF folder
2. Update the components.xml with the following entries. This configures the EntityManagerFactory.

Reading the parameter associated with a JSF CommandLink with Seam?

If you have a parameter to be passed along with a JSF CommandLink action and you are using Seam component as the backing bean then you can inject the parameter value using the Seam’s @RequestParameter Annotation.

Does Seam DataModelSelection always returns the first row from the DataModel?

If your @DataModelSelection is always injecting the first row of your @DataModel then the reason is that you must be using #{seamComponent.listAttribute} in the value attribute of your <h:dataTable> element.
Solution is to just use #{listAttribute}. That’s pretty simple but the problem ate my brains out when I was struggling with it.
