If this report on economictimes is true then the Indian technology and bpo professionals are in tough times in 2008. The expected onset of US recession and the huge appreciation of the Indian Rupee against the US dollar are supposed to be the cause. IT stocks have already taken the hit in 2007 due to the rupee appreciation and now its going to be the people involved in the sector. The situation may not be as bad as the one following Sep 11 attacks but still its going to put brakes on the pace of the Indian growth.
