If your @DataModelSelection is always injecting the first row of your @DataModel then the reason is that you must be using #{seamComponent.listAttribute} in the value attribute of your <h:dataTable> element.
Solution is to just use #{listAttribute}. That’s pretty simple but the problem ate my brains out when I was struggling with it.
